I had a worrying visit to my local nature reserve — Woods Mill, near Henfield — today. The opening shot of the video shows what’s normally a lake. But it’s dry, and being colonised by land plants. Many of the streams were equally dry. The impact of the hot summer is being felt well into autumn.
